Cannot Tell a Lie

Today's cartoon is brought to you by Delayed Reaction Rationale, Inc.

Funny how everything good about America during Clinton's administration was said to be a result of the Reagan/Bush era, and that everything wrong with America in the early '00s was blamed on the Clinton administration.

The one solace I had after election day '04 was that perpetrators of our doom would be in office to take responsibility for the poison fruit of their labors. Now, our ass is so far into a crack that there is pretty much no doubt who wedged it there.

Dan, in regards to this blog post:

This is ironic as the GOP is always trying to self itself as being about rugged individualism and responsibility.

The GOP blames their failure on past presidents who were Democrats or they blame it on partisan gridlock in the congress and/or senate.

Well, for 6 out of the 8 years of the Bush Administration the GOP had complete control of the government.

I think presidential approval ratings are at ~ 30%, worse than for Nixon when he left office.

That little W looks like George III with the wig. How fitting.

" sell itself as being about rugged individualism and responsibility"

Yes, what a crackup that is...Abraham Lincoln they're not! More like Warren G. Harding and his dirty oil deals. Today and the 20s have a few similarities.

I am entirely digging your picture links sprinkled throughout your explanatory blog posts. They make a good thing (comics and humorblogs) even better (comics and humorblogs and well-placed imagery).

You have hooked me, Mr. Piraro. I enjoy what you do.
