If you haven't seen any of The Onion's news spoofs, you must. Many are brilliant. Here's one that satirizes a public demonstration technique that my own CHNW has been a part of.Afew of the women in the actual PETA protest footage they use are acquaintances or friends of ours.

I know this is going to sound sexist, but as long as young attractive women are going to get naked in public to protest wearing fur, I'm thinking the tactic might just increase sales.
Wow. I am used to seeing commercials at the beginning of online videos, but this is the first time that I have seen an ad at the end of a piece, not to mention one which does not allow you to stop the video. That's rather obnoxious. Kind of reminds me of the DVDs where you buy the movie outright but then they force you to watch 10 minutes of commercials before the movie starts, and they disable the "fast forward," "skip," and "menu" options.
That's beautiful. I must say, the Onion does a good job. As for PETA, they know their marketing. I actually don't see much of it around here...
If we can't laugh at ourselves, who can we laugh at? You had to love the little Maurice Sendak at the end. This world would be so boring without satire and cartoonists. Thanks for sharing. (Hopefully you won't have to put CHNW down any time soon.)
Just a quick note to thank you for Your marvelous humor that helps to start my day...Thanks again..

"We have no intention of changing our tactics until every last animal on the planet is given more respect than women."
Funny cuz it's true...
=v= PETA is a worse deal for men, because they have "Broccoli Boys" along with the "Lettuce Ladies." Instead of a some nice cozy leaves, we have to try to wear broccoli in public.
That sanctuary at the end of the clip looks pretty nice. Maybe they'll let me hang out there, right after I finish picking all these Romanesco florets out of my hairs ...
hehe. i love the onion.
I think PETA would be treated more seriously if it stopped associating itself with vegans so much.
who does pies work for? is he a mcdonalds manager or a deli owner?
