Real Estate Rule
Bizarro is made possible today by Modern Chiropractic.
Here is a delightfully strange idea given to me by the elusive "Malo." Don't try to attach too much meaning to it, as a couple of readers who emailed me about it did.
Just enjoy the surreal quality of its oddness.

Dig it.
I thought this cartoon was making light of real estate agents who will try and sell (or rent) you an apartment with certain defects (like a mouse problem ie the mouse trap) by making it sound like you are getting bonuses like a dishwasher/fireplace, watermelon(or rat launcher)etc.
Doeth I thinkest too much?
Another one of those "special features" that are used to raise prices without any actual value. And you wonder how the real estate prices can drop so low. (...too soon? ;)
Nicely captured Mr. Piraro :D Hats off to Malo too. TC

@ karl...
You're exactly right, that's what the cartoon is about. I had people asking what the significance of "watermelon" was and such. They were the ones that were thinking too hard. :)
honestly dans version was better 4 the caption ..i initially had two people walking in to an apartment for rent going look a fire[place and watermelon catapault like they were just stupid people'
therefore reworked in this case by dan actually made it much better
I thought maybe the people were really small and the rat was normal sized. But I didnt lose any sleep pondering.
No symbols??? :(
The significance of a "Watermelon catapult"; that's an easy one. What else can you use to toss watermelons at noisy neighbors :-)
Me likee.
And again, thank you for moderating comments. I feel like I'm in a room of adults again.
I agree Penny, it is nice, but I miss seeing my posts appear instantaneously. Just out of curiosity, how many posts are submitted but not posted now? Now this one will probably not be posted.
On a different note: I was prompted to look up this blog by the hilarious comic in today's paper, in which the monkeys have told aliens that "everything on the planet was working just fine until [their] 'cousins got uppity'" Just wanted to say how much I liked it.
Annie
what large rats you have in NYC...goodness
Yes Doug, most of the large rats walk bipedally and wear three piece suits.
