Suntan in the Snow
Bizarro is brought to you today by Head Games.
Last weekend I was in Florida for three days doing a talk, visiting with family, and sitting outside without a shirt. The next day I was looking out the window of my apartment here in Brooklyn at great wads of snow falling from the sky. Three days later and it is still snowing. The forecast has it continuing for a few more days yet.
It seems surreal to go from a sunny, warm climate to a snowy one in a single day, because it is. We only recently gained the ability to do this, so it is only natural that it seems unnatural. A few times in my life I have traveled to the other side of the globe and the feeling when I returned was very strange. My mind resists fully grasping the concept that yesterday afternoon I was in Bangkok, now I'm in Texas. It's enough to whiplash the sense right out of you.
Here is a picture of my backyard today.
To more pressing issues, who killed this snowman?

i once flew to Toronto on an assignment. of course, i arrived on the same day i left. the problem was flying home. i flew from Toronto on a Wednesday, but reached home on a Friday.
till this day, i'm still wondering where Thursday went. now, THAT really fucks with your mind. :P
Its those "I started today in Germany, and now I'm sitting in the Hollywood Bowl, under a starry sky, watchin a concert" days that really blow my mind. Modern travel always amazes me.
My bets on the bunny
Last year I vacationed in CA and Flew from San Francisco on Friday and attended a show in NYC on Saturday. It was a very surreal experience.
A really hot snowchick.
I think he was done in by a UPS driver that slowy ate his meatball hero, while the idling van's exhaust ate away at the poor snowman.
Sunshine concentrated by a slightly parabolic window killed the snowman!
That one made me laugh out loud when I saw it in the paper.
Hey, congrats on the Reuben nomination.

Couldn't have been the bunny...the carrot is still at the crime scene...I would suggest Global Warming killed this snowman...or Al Gore...one of the two...
If you enjoyed seeing 70 degree weather and snow all in the same day, you could move here to the Denver metro area and see that many times a year without going through airport security. Par for the course, I'm afraid.
colonel mustard with a hair dryer
the backyard looks awesome covered in snow bliz.
i know the feeling one day you're on a beach in st. thomas sippin' mai-tais, the next day you're in your brooklyn apt slaving over a laptop trying to catch up on work. bee-zare!
